I thought that I had been using the 10.4 tree for some time. However, when I typed fink --version as per the note of 2006-07-24 I got "Distribution version: 0.8.0.rsync". I then tried using the upgrade script, but it said that I was already using the 10.4 tree so I exited without running it. My sw/fink folder has both the 10.4 and the 10.4-transitional trees. I generally use Fink Commander, and the table says that I have 5708 packages displayed and 361 installed.
So...am I using the 10.4 tree or not? If not, should I try to run the upgrade script? I am reluctant to blow away my existing fink installation since all the installed packages are working fine and I takes a very long time to recompile them all.
