| Hi, I just transferred the information from a g4powerbook to an intel-based macpro using a firewire connection. It seems that during that process Fink got also transferred along with all my Fink applications (I have a /sw directory). To my surprise fink transferred to the intel computer works as well as all the other applications in /sw/bin. The Fink version I have is bio 22% fink -V Package manager version: 0.24.10 Distribution version: 0.8.0.rsync Now I want/need to update Fink to 0.81. However, since Fink was compiled in the powerbook I do not know whether I should update fink doing fink self-update or delete fink and then install it from the source using the for intel version. Also, If I do fink self-update, and then fink update all, am I going to end up with a mixture of intel and powerpc compiled applications? This a bit confusing and I will appreciate your suggestions on what is best to do . Thanks in advance, |
