From this one can see that the crash is happening while the font "Academy Engraved LET Fonts" is read. This is also the first font read, so it is not clear whether something is wrong with the font or rather with freetype2's font reading mechanism. You could try to move this font out of the way. It is a font that comes with AppleWorks or with iDVD, but is not normally present in /System/Library/Fonts, /Library/Fonts, or ~/Library/Fonts. Did you choose this font in any of your preferences? Or did you otherwise install it, perhaps via FontBook? Concerning my suspicions about incompatible freetype2 versions, from your crash.log it is clear that the crash is happening inside xorg's freetype.6.dylib. Fink's freetype219 is not being used at that point, I think (although this type of crash can happen when there is a switch from one copy of a library to another one inside a function being executed). So it could also be a bug in xorg's freetype2 handling of reseource fork fonts. -- Martin ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
