A package gets moved to stable if the maintainer decides to move it,
frequently as a result of having received positive feedback.

We don't do official releases of contributed binaries:  it's too hard
to detect if packages link stuff from places they shouldn't, e.g.
crosstalk from Macports.


It's possible to share them in an unofficial capacity, though.  Check out
