It had been a VERY long time since I updated anything fink has
control over. When calling 'fink selfupdate; fink update-all', the
first few apps installed fine. pkgconfig's update, though, failed due
to phase patching (?). Removing pkgconfig didn't help. Can't find a
reproduction of this elsewhere; any idea what this means and what to do?

Note that many fink package maintainers do not have access to all
