All,

I'm using a recent fresh install of fink and fink commander on OS X
10.5.4 on an Intel Mac. Version info is apparently as follows:

fink --version
Package manager version: 0.27.16
Distribution version: 0.9.0.1 i386

I am trying to install pymol, which according to the online package
list should be available
(http://pdb.finkproject.org/pdb/package.php/pymol-py25). However, it
does not appear in my package list in 'fink list' or in fink
commander.

I have enabled unstable versions of packages -- first in fink
commander by checking the box in preferences, and also tried directly
with fink by running fink configure to edit the configuration file; I
also checked that the appropriate unstable path is listed under Trees
in the configuration file (the line reads 'Trees: local/main
stable/main stable/crypto unstable/main').

I have (repeatedly) run selfupdate, scanpackages, and update-all using
both fink commander, so I don't think that's the problem.

What else could be wrong? A friend running under Leopard upgraded
recently from 10.3 and is still running the 10.3 version of fink
(0.28.5, he says, though the numbering seems strange since that's a
higher # than mine) and is seeing and getting pymol just fine, and it
works for him.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
David Mobley
