Alexander: yes, I did install after rebuilding, and still the name
list in *.fink.la included the 1.3 version.

Interesting. The version that I have is 2.4.1-104, just one before
your update. I configured fink to use only the stable releases, I
guess you are working on the unstable ones. When do you think that
your bugfix will be available in the stable tree?

I tried:
fink install fontconfig2-dev-2.4.1-105
and
fink --trees=unstable/main install fontconfig2-dev-2.4.1-105

... and that failed. From the man page I understand that I need to
"upgrade" my fink.conf to include the unstable tree. For all other
packages I want the stable versions though, so I would be happier if
the stable tree could be fixed by including the 2.4.1-105 of the
fontconfig2 packages.
