It's only a warning, anyway.  This doesn't actually affect anything in
your Fink setup.  Don't mistake these messages with actual errors in the
build process.

Once you get to "Downloading the indexes of available packages in the
binary distribution."  this means that fink is done building everything,
and is registering those packages which _were_ successfully built for
use with the binary tools.  Any errors building or installing a
particular package are before that in your output.

And what do you mean by "direct updates"?  Fink is supposed to give you
the same results regardless of when/how you install a particular version
of a package.  If you're referring to installing a package by itself vs.
part of a chain, then it's the expected behavior to get identical
behavior, including identical failures.  If "direct" mean's you're _not_
using Fink to update packages, then we can't help you.
