On shiny 15" unibody MBP w/ 10.5.8, using x86-64 architecture.

For the last couple of months of limped along on a combination of kmail4-x11
and kdebase3 b/c kdebase4-workspace would compile but hang before building
packages, and kdebase4-mac wouldn't compile. With the shiny new version, I
thought things would be better, but alas not.

1) I did succeeded in compiling kde{libs,,base-runtime,pim(libs)}-x11 version
4.4, for Akonadi wouldn't start for some reason. This made kmail impossible to
use. Eventually I had to downgrade everything to 4.2.4 to restore some sanity.

2) kdebase4-workspace still compiles but hangs before building the debs. It
seems to be running kdm configuration script (genxconf or genkdmconf or some
such. I forgot to write it down)

3) kdebase4-runtime-mac dies about 8% of the way through the compile with the
message below.

Any suggestions for any of these?
