Hi fink-users, Hi Pepe,

I am working with a HP ScanJet 3300 C scanner attached via USB to a MacBook
using xsane from fink. Now I upgraded to Snow Leopard and . . .

Is there a chance to get xsane compiled and running under Mac OSX 10.6.3 Snow
Leopard?

What I tried so far:

1. I did a clean install of fink

macbook:~ martin$ fink --version
Package manager version: 0.29.10
Distribution version: selfupdate-rsync Thu May 27 14:04:47 2010, 10.6, i386

2. and switched to unstable. The Info-Files for xsane are then found under:

/sw/fink/10.4/stable/main/finkinfo/graphics/xsane.info
/sw/fink/10.4/unstable/main/finkinfo/graphics/xsane.info

3. but fink install fails with

macbook:~ martin$ fink install xsane
Information about 8989 packages read in 1 seconds.
Failed: no package found for specification 'xsane'!

I guess, this happens because 10.6 is not listed in xsane.info:

Distribution: 10.4, 10.5

Is there a way to get xsane running under Snow Leopard.

Thank you in advance for any hints

Regards Martin
