Or make sure "local/main" is at the end of the Trees line in /sw/etc/fink.conf, rather than at the beginning, which means that for a given version-revision local/main has the highest precedence. Then you can put those .info files in /sw/fink/10.4/local/main/finkinfo, and copy the patches from /sw/fink/10.4/unstable/main/finkinfo/languages.
