Today I unfortunately did a "fink update-all", which updated ghostscript to
i ghostscript 8.71-2 Interpreter for PostScript and PDF which has a serious bug, which is fixed by this proposed patch by Jens Nöckel (derived from a patch by the ghostscript authors that has already been applied to Ubuntu's package) http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=414256&aid=3052027&group_id=17203 over a month ago, but it appears that this patch has not yet been applied. (I had decided not to do "fink update-all" but then forgot and blew it.) So I'm curious, how can I influence Martin Costabel (to whom the bug is now assigned) to apply the patch? Or perhaps he's not the right person, I'm not really sure how the fink process works ...
