This is more suited for the fink-core list, since it's a discussion
about the innards of fink, but here goes:

The trailing report is set up to get what we want from _a user's system
and fink.conf settings_, because that can and does differ from machine
to machine.

Anything that comes from a .info file in the distribution is the same
for everybody.

You're free to submit a patch if you want to change it.
