TheSin, looking through the history of the debianutils.info (an Essential package), I see that you had set the po4a build-depends that Snaggle mentioned, but did not alter po4a itself despite very explicit notes in core pacakges that deps of Essential must also be Essential. That's a technical problem that is now moot since po4a is no longer needed. Going the other way, I'd like to amplify others and say that it's hella-rude to haul in tex just to get some docs for a simple utilities package! Tex is huge and has historically been something of a moving target and susceptible to problems of its own. We really need fink core coordination for changes to essential packages (and especially the lists of dependecies of them) to make sure we're not making a mess. dan -- Daniel Macks dma...@netspace.org ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
