Since the latest Xcode 4.5.1 installer weighs in at 1.7GB, those less blessed 
with speedy links may want to sign up in the Developer.Apple.Com portal (NOT 
register; signing up is free). Then log in, go to the Mac developer section, 
choose to see all downloads and download the installer there, thereby bypassing 
the godawful App Store silliness, plus you get to keep the installer handy for 
quick no-download reinstalls. While there, you can also download the 
command-line tools, which are OS-specific.
