This is probably the best thing to do until fink is officially ready. Your built-on-10.8 binaries will continue to work fine but you won't be able to update them anymore once you go 10.9. If you want to help get things ready, follow Alexander's instructions to install a new fink but use a different directory than /sw to avoid messing up your current installation. Then start installing the things you need and report any problems you encounter so we can fix them. There will be some dependency holes for a while as things get moved but most things seem to work.
