Actually, that's incorrect. The problem is that upstream now generates the info file via a separate "make info" step, which didn't get run, and so the file was never generated. When syncing my changes from Fink's gnuplot-minimal.info (which is where I tested this) to gnuplot.info, I somehow dropped that line.
