You could try two things: Either select the version of Xcode with llvm-gcc 
active or you can add PATH=<path to llvm-gcc>:${PATH} to the invocation of 
darwin_configure.sh. (Although I think that the latter will also lead to the 
"Unsupported compiler" report because your active version of Xcode does not 
have "com.apple.compilers.llvmgcc42" registered. It would work when make would 
use the "llvm-gcc" executable directly.)
