I went from 10.7 to 10.9 + Xcode 5.1, and I am running into a guile-snarf issue getting the code to build. So I am not even to the point of launching gschem. Happy to add the dependency while updating to gEDA 1.8.2, but I'm trying to track down the build issue before committing.
