This problem I was having and managed to fix. The basic thing was to reinstall Xquartz from scratch. Download from http://xquartz.macosforge.org/landing/ the .dmg file and run that. In principle it should work and recreate the X11 stuff. That fixed that problem for me. (I had to reinstall Xquartz twice since the first time I had symbolic links /usr to various X11 stuff but it actually wants to put thing in /opt with symlinks to that; so I had to delete some old symlinks called "X11" and "X11R6" under /usr and then reinstall then it worked.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Comprehensive Server Monitoring with Site24x7.
