It should be noted that the issue seems to have been fixed in the most recent openmotif4 (2.3.4-9). This being said, it should also be noted that the current texlive-base (0.20140523-1) fails in (what appears to be) a related manner: gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I../../../texk/pxdvik -I../../../texk/pxdvik/gui -DPS_GS -I/opt/sw/include -I/opt/sw/include -I/usr/X11R6/include -I/opt/sw/include/freetype2 -I/opt/sw/include -Wimplicit -Wreturn-type -Wdeclaration-after-statement -Wno-unknown-pragmas -g -O2 -MT jisx0208.o -MD -MP -MF .deps/jisx0208.Tpo -c -o jisx0208.o ../../../texk/pxdvik/jisx0208.c In file included from ../../../texk/pxdvik/ft2.c:7: /usr/X11R6/include/ft2build.h:56:10: fatal error: 'freetype/config/ftheader.h' file not found #include <freetype/config/ftheader.h> ^ 1 error generated. Similarly to what happened before, once I rename /usr/X11R6/include/ft2build.h out of the way the build succeeds. Still similarly, none of these happen on my other machines (running OS X 10.10).
