Hi Alex,

The MSNP2 protocol was indeed made open by Microsoft
(in their drive to show themselves as an Open
company), the spec is quite difficult to find however,
but I think I've got a copy on my site..

If you want to take a look at the spec, which is
feature complete except for items added later, which
are, changing friendly names and sending e-mail
requests, check out the following URL

To find out how to change friendlynames hunt around
the developer section of the site.
