Thanks for the info. It seems to work fine, if I've understood you
correctly.
Here's what I got:
% telnet login.icq.com 5190
Trying 64.12.162.57...
Connected to login.icq.com.
Escape character is '^]'.
*?d^]
telnet> quit
Connection closed.
I notice that the ip address that you had was different to mine. Mind you i
don't understand much of this, but it seems to have worked.
So trying that, i figured that perhaps something is wrong with my ICQ UIN.
When I was logging in with ICQX I was using a different UIN to the one I
using in Fire. When I try in ICQX the UIN that I was using in Fire, it
won't connect either. So... it seems to have been disabled or something.
I've now changed the Fire one to the one that was working in ICQX and it's
now working fine in Fire.
