You block your computer from connecting to other machine's ports?  Can't 
say I've seen that before...Though I never it wasn't on your end, I just 
said that opening/closing 1863 on your side shouldn't make a difference.  
To give an example, port 6667 isn't routed to my machine and I can 
connection EsperNet (which uses 6667), and when it is I still can.  If 
they were to close off port 6667, though, I wouldn't be able to connect.
