Washington State constitutional decision

Division 2 of the Washington State Court of Appeals ruled that a state statute criminalizing mere firearms ownership, above and beyond possession (i.e., there is no access to the firearm), by a person charged with a serious offense, violates the state constitutional right to bear arms.

State v. Spiers, decided November 12, 2003, No. 28507-0-II.
