The packing.org community is very active and very keen on keeping the
information there up to date.  I believe that the information on that
site is the most comprehensive and up-to-date you'll find anywhere.

Be careful, of course, with respect to the meaning of their listings.

For example, they list New Mexico as shall issue because the law has
been passed, but the law is not effective until January 1, 2004.  They
list Missouri, again because the law has been passed, but the law is
on hold until at least the outcome of the case in the Missouri Supreme
Court, which is scheduled to be heard January 20th or so, I believe.

You can find little inconsistencies on their site -- some maps show
Alabama as "shall issue" but it is actually "may issue" (the link you
posted has it right).  That's because _in practice_, Alabama is shall
issue, because all Sheriffs are said, even by gun people, to issue
fairly.
