Brazil's Lula signs gun law

"Brazil's president signed Monday sweeping reforms to the nation's
gun-control laws ending years of legislative wrangling.

"Heading into the holidays, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva made official a
bill passed by the Congress earlier this month, making it illegal for
civilians to carry firearms -- except under very special
circumstances, such as hunting for their livelihood."
