In his earlier book, "Target: Switzerland," Halbrook focuses primarily on the historical role of the Swiss militia in deterring invasion, but he also makes very clear the advantages Germany enjoyed by having a neutral Switzerland adjoining. IIRC, in addition to the banking (and storage of looted art) connection, Germany had access to Swiss optics and other technology of benefit to Germany's warmaking capability. List relevance: Halbrook also addresses Swiss legislative activities surrounding their armaments industry and how Swiss neutrality was to be honored.
