A section which tried to keep even unloaded weapons out of public view effectively bans color guards at parades. With Veterans Day coming up November 11, this is no small matter.
The law states that no one shall carry in ``any public way an unloaded rifle or shotgun, unless such person is engaged in hunting and is the holder of a valid license...or unless such rifle or shotgun is enclosed in a case.''
