Pardon this email beg, but I and an associate are looking for a data set
known as either ATF Gun Tracing Data 1998-2001 or National Trace
Database from the same period. There are hints that the data from
1998-2000 was released in an NAACP lawsuit (NAACP v. Accusport, Inc. et
al.?). This is the dataset that Ceasefire Maryland recently used in its
supposed "assault weapons" report. It is not clear that an FOIA request
would now be repeatable.
Thanks in advance for the data or any pointers.
