Since I began to track these in 1989, with one exception, all K-12 school shootings have had the following in common:

1). Guns were specifically not allowed on the premises by official policy or by law.
2). Those inside were unarmed and totally helpless.
3). The police were called to each one of these events.
4). All injuries (and deaths) occurred before the police took any action.
