I'm basing this on media reports.

  This case dealt with the "Lautenberg Amendment" which disqualifies
someone from firearms ownership on the basis of a misdemeanor conviction
for domestic violence - and concluded that the category was broader than
crimes specifically called "domestic violence" and includes, as in this
case, a battery conviction.
