Decision at http://supreme.justia.com/us/555/07-608/
Roberts and Scalia argue in their dissent at http://supreme.justia.com/us/555/07-608/dissent.html that the construction of the statute is overbroad. No indication that it might be flat-out unconstitutional. That was apparently not argued by the defense, although I haven't seen their briefs. My law review article why the holding is unconstitutional is at http://www.constitution.org/col/psrboa.htm -- Jon ------------------------------------------------------------------- Constitution Society 2900 W Anderson Ln C-200-322, Austin, TX 78757 512/299-5001 www.constitution.org [email protected] ------------------------------------------------------------------- _______________________________________________ To post, send message to [email protected] To subscribe, unsubscribe, change options, or get password, see http://lists.ucla.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/firearmsregprof Please note that messages sent to this large list cannot be viewed as private.
