Many criminologists have quantified the source of crime guns, noting high rates of them having been stolen. Yet I do not recall having seen a breakdown of the sources of stolen guns (stolen from homes, shipments to retailers, from government, from other criminals). Any have a citable study of the theft source for crime guns?
