There is NO legal self-defense in the UK.  
 
Unless, of course, your paid "security guards" do it for you.  If you
arevery rich, you are safe.  Otherwise, dial 999 if you can and wait
three hours.

Actually, the interesting message here is that you will also have to  
ban golf clubs.  Four of the eight people arrested were middle-aged  
golfers, who were arrested for illegal self-defense with their golf  
clubs.
