With the help of some suggestions from list members, and a lot of help from
Lexis, I've completed my survey of cases examining whether a local firearms
ordinance was in conflict with or preempted by a state statute, and the
legal precepts on which such cases are decided. It's just a digest of the
opinions, with a little comment thrown in here and there. It includes 19
states, 23 cases, and 8 attorney general opinions. It's 24 pages long, in MS
Word format--much too long to post here. But if anybody wants a copy, email
me off-list and I'll send it.
