I don't see much sense to create a branch every time I have an idea to play with. Maybe a half of them end nowhere, why polluting the repo with them? Also, I want to save time by not rebuilding the tree every time I need to switch to some local work. Having multiple local copies already compiled and ready for running is sometimes very handy.
