I don't think that's necessary, however, having a good clean set of plugs along with good points (or electronic ignition), cap, wires will help. I also think that a good running carb and choke are even more important. I personally like the modern carbs with electric chokes that you can adjust (some ot the older carbs with the little pipe coming up are adjustable as well) are the way to go. Hugo
