First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ......................................................................... early egine had an oppisite side starter than what you are used to. Late model bellhousings had provisions for a starter on either side so you could use the late bell on an early enginesort of like how 455's have mounting provisions for them to bolt into a early car.
If the bell you got has only one side (opposite of what you need), you made a poor purchase. sorry joe -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, December 11, 2007 6:33 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [FGF] Bell housing for manual tranny First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ......................................................................... I just purchased a used bell housing and fly wheel. They in super good condition, however the bell housing has a right hand starter mount hole. I knew this when I purchased the bell housing, but I got a good deal from the seller for both items. What are the motors that used the right hand starters. The bell housing is cast alumnium.
