Could it be from an OHC 6?

Thanks Joe My HO has both the right and left bulge on the bell housing, as you were saying. I thought that it might be for a different GM motor with the starter on the right. The bolt holes are definitely a Pontiac template. Being made from alumnium, I assumed it would be for a more recent application. The flywheel is in super condition with no surface cracks or
any dings, including the ring gear. Cleaned up, the flywheel would be
nearly NOS condition. I am hoping that I can use the bell housing as trading
stock, providing I can find out what it goes on.

To Bobby: The 9 or 10 Pontiac motors that I have, date from 1967 to
1972, all have the oil filter on the right side and no starter bolt holes.
Thanks for the thought.
