Spray NOTHING on the rotors. Period. That is a recipe for disaster. Clean with brake cleaner and leave them. Let the flash rust form. The first time you hit the brakes, it'll all come off. Any advice on possibly something to spray on the rotors to keep them from rusting but won't mess up the pads?
