You are right Michael, it should bring a higher dollar, but
there are some interesting things about the 69 model RA/H.O's
so I've learned recently...

If it's an actual RA motor (actually know as the 69 400 H.O.)
(RPO Code #348) and if it actually had Ram Air (RPO Code #611)
it would indeed be a nice car with a nice price, but technically
speaking Pontiac didn't call it a RAIII motor in a 69 Firebird a
RA III (GTO yes) but the Firebird, evidently not. (unless it
was the 69 TA, I believe) The terms are used loosely and widely.

So in 69 Pontiac Firebird literature never mentions a RA motor,
it mentions H.O. and the optional Ram Air induction, but not
the whole package as a RA car, as such considered a RA III.
They are just performance options in 69 as such. They wen onto
the RA IV etc...

BUT, if the car is the real deal with the correct drivetrain
(H.O./RA Heads/Block, Close ratio tranny and 3.90 or 4.33 rear)
it would be a higher priced car... as it has all the desirable
equipment to get the job done! :)

Quite a debate on the 1st gen website on this topic!

By the way, how are things Michael? How's the family, the bird,
the GTO... The little ones grow up fast don't they? Hope all is
well!

A 69 Firebird Ram Air III convertible 4-speed must be
a pretty rare car--especially with the original block
and other engine pieces. It should be worth a premium
over a regular 400. If this were a GTO, people would
probably be fighting over it.................
