Ryan, are you sure it is the driveshaft and not a rim?  Gets your tires 
balanced. 

I have never heard of  offset ujoint , logically thinking if it was offset to 
one side it would cause a vibration. Did you watch the guy balance the drive 
line?  How long has this been going on? what was the last thing you did before 
the vibration started? Can ya see where I am going with this? HAve there been 
new perches welded on?

I am investigating an excessive vibration from my new driveshaft that
only appears at certain speeds (shaft has been balanced twice!) and I
remember hearing something on this list about the u-joins being slightly
offset from the factory in 69 to correct a vibration issue.
