Mines a 68' too. The think the new seals are OER. I have the flat side facing
the panel now and they seal up pretty well except in the center where I need to
push the gasket down to sit tightly on the lens. That's why I was wondering if
you're suppose to glue them in place on the lens to make the install easier.
I'll try flipping around like yours but it appears this will actually create a
trough that will trap water, i.e. the high part of the step is on the perimeter
of the gaskets and the low side is on the inside perimeter. Anyway, my stock
ones were flat on both sides.

THanks,

more like a coal-tar based seal, a much better product. Are you suppose to glue
these in place before installing? Also, are they supposed to be installed flat
side out or "stepped side" out. The stepped side does not
seem to have a purpose, i.e. it seems like they should be flat on both
sides.> > > >Thanks,> >Sheen> > > >> > >
