There are some kits available on eBay that will cover the console holes after
they are filled, but I don't know if they work well. Postings on the First Gen
site seem to indicate there aren't any good ones on the market. I think they
bubble and don't adhere very well. You could try filling the holes and
recreating the burlwood pattern (don't laugh, I've seen a guy put paint on an
old Packard dash that you'd swear was real wood), or just spend the money for a
console that doesn't have the holes.

I bought a cracked console for a pretty penny, but the cover didn't have holes.
Since no one's making repos of this console, that's about the only alternative
if you want the stock look.

I have a console with four 3/8 inch holes in the plastic part up front on top.
It is the pebble grain finish. The rest of the console is in great shape. Has
anyone had any luck patching or filling holes like this? What is the best
solution? I figured i'd probably just have to mount a gauge pod or something on
top to cover them up, but really don't want to.

eBay has a surprising number of 4-speed consoles up for auction. Hard part is
to get a cover that doesn't have holes in it. I have some 4-speed covers that
have holes in them, but they would at least get you going. Let me know if
you're interested, and I can send you some pics. Beats buying a whole console,
and the only other thing you'd have to get would be the shifter cup, and those
are available from Classic and the other repo outfits.

Hey Guys,

I am converting a 69 Conv from an automatic to a Muncie 4 speed and am in
need of the brake and clutch pedals. I purchased a pedal set from CI which
cannot fit, and now have been told that the pedals for the 69 are different
from the 67, and 68s. I am assuming that that is true (?) (I originally
thought that I had to change the pedal carrier bracket.) I also need the
cover on the center consul that is for the manual transmission. Can any one
able help me out?
