Mine was the plastic piece that holds the pedal to the floor/firewall, it had cracked ,broke apart...a new one (I got mine from Classic) fixed the problem...the part no is 3863501 1968-69 repro $18.95 its called a "accelerator pad to rod support"...but as said abv. not sure if this is your same problem....no bushing in this bracket. I've seen nylon bushings that are claimed to go in the bracket. When I look at my bracket (which is pretty hard to see and get to) it doesn't look like there is room for bushings. Do these in fact use bushing (and mine are missing) or were they just metal on metal?
