PHS is a good deal if you're not sure what came on your car. I have a '68
Firebird convertible, and I have no clue how many owners it's had or who put
what on. From what I got from PHS, at least I know what was supposed to be on
the car and what wasn't.
I also found out that if you ordered the deluxe interior, you also had to
specify deluxe seat belts because they were a separate option. I couldn't
figure out why I had the standard belts (plastic buckles instead of the metal
ones), when the interior was deluxe.
PHS is definately worth the money.

It is a great service. It tells what was originally on "your" car and not
just what was available. In my case, when I first got the car it had a 3-speed
transmission but the PHS documents show that it was built with a 4-speed. It
had  several owners before me so there was no telling what had been changed,
added or removed over the years.
What I found to be interesting was a copy of the billing history with the
invoice #, invoice date, price, key codes, engine unit #, etc. I'm glad I sent
off for it.

I  was looking at the PHS (pontiac Historical services) website and it didn't
seem like what they were selling was anything that isn't available in the
repair and other manuals.  I'm guessing that the "window sticker" is just  a
reproduction based on what your VIN and Code plate say.  Am I missing
something?
