I get 14 mpg at 70-75 mph on freeways/hwy...and 9 mpg in town...400 ,

I'm guessing that it's a 326 but it depends on the rear end ratio (which
would vary your RPM's at a certain speed) but I would expect
12 to 15 mpg, maybe a little better.

I was amazed at getting 14 mpg at times (when we didn't have to climb
hills) on a 1500 mile trip we took with about 50 other classic cars in
my 69 Bonneville ambulance with a 400 in it. It has to weigh a good 5000
lbs if not more and it's 21 feet long!
