Originally, it did not have an h-pipe, but it did have a single muffler
mounted sideways behind the rear end, which I suppose might act the same.
It's my understanding that a h-pipe added to a true dual system increases
low end torque as well as mellowing the sound some. The "hot" setup these
days seems to be an X-pipe.

How important is the h-pipe in the exhaust system? Mines been replaced with
just pipes on each side with a muffler.
