I have a couple of question on date codes I was hoping some of you wise
folks can help me with:

I have a 1969 350 2bbl auto with AC car and have had it 20 years and am the
2nd owner

1) I'm not sure if my current carb is the "original" and was trying to
figure out the cast markings. This is a 2GV and the markings are on the
passenger side.
7029062 (which is the right carb), and below that 297 JO82. I could not
make any sense of this last number.

2) My alternator which I think is original (dont ever remember changing it
until just recently) looks like it may be stamped a 1968 model - does this
mean it had been swapped at some point or could it have been old inventory
laying around a bin? It is stamped 1100700 55A then below that 8L16 12VNEG

3) Lastly I was curious how to decipher the cylinder stamping 048297 XB. I
know the XB is the engine code, but how to interpret the other number - does
it mean it the head was cast on the 48th day of 1969? (Which would make
sense since the car was ordered in January and delivered in February). but
what is the 7 code for then?

thanks!
